(CTO) - On November 24 2022, Mr. Le Quang Manh - Member of the  Party Central Committee, Secretary of Can Tho city Party Committee, Head of the Can Tho city National Assembly Delegation - and leaders of departments, agencies hosted a reception for Mr. Jaya Ratnam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Quang Manh expressed his pleasure to welcome the Singaporean delegation. At the same time, he also emphasized the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore which has continuously developed over the years. Mr. Le Quang Manh hoped that Ambassador Jaya Ratnam would continue to pay attention and introduce Singaporean businesses and investors to Can Tho to cooperate and invest in many fields in the coming time.

Can Tho leaders and the Singaporean ambassador exchanged many contents such as launching direct flights from Can Tho to Singapore; organizing investment promotion seminars with Singaporean enterprises in Can Tho; implementing the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park Vinh Thanh Project (VSIP Can Tho).

For his part, Mr. Jaya Ratnam thanked the city leaders for the respectful welcome. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore in 2023, Mr. Jaya Ratnam hoped that the two countries in general, Singapore and Can Tho in particular, would organize many meaningful activities to commemorate this important event, contributing to further tightening the friendship and good cooperation relationship in the future.
