Over 250 players compete in Vietnam badminton tournament

As many as 253 top players from 18 countries and territories are competing in the qualifying round of the “Felet Vietnam International Series 2025”, which officially began in Bac Ninh province on October 28.
The tournament is jointly organised by the Vietnam Badminton Federation and the Bac Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Bac Ninh sports hall in Bac Giang ward.
The athletes come from Australia, the Cook Islands, Germany, Indonesia, India, the Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan (China), the UAE, the US, Venezuela, and host Vietnam. They are contesting five categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
Vietnam is represented by 87 athletes and coaches, including 16 players from Bac Ninh. Several of the country’s leading shuttlers are participating such as Pham Van Hai and Than Van Anh (Bac Ninh), Vu Thi Trang (Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh (Lam Dong), Le Duc Phat (Army team), Pham Thi Khanh and Pham Thi Dieu Ly (Hung Yen).
The qualifiers will run continuously from October 28 to 30, selecting the top players for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. The championship matches and awards ceremony are scheduled for the afternoon of November 2.
The Felet Vietnam International Series 2025 promises to deliver thrilling and high-level badminton matches for sports fans. The tournament also aims to promote sports development nationwide, particularly badminton in Bac Ninh, and improve the cultural and recreational life in the province. Moreover, it offers an opportunity to showcase Bac Ninh’s economic potential, social strengths, and scenic, historical, and cultural attractions to both domestic and international spectators.
