Investing in the construction of connecting national highway 91 with Nam Song Hau road (phase 1)

- The project route allows to improve the quality of inner city traffic and contribute to the improvement of transport network in the Mekong Delta. As a longitudinal axis from the intersection of national highway 91 (O Mon district) to the intersection of national highway 1A and connect to Nam Song Hau road, Cai Cui port, and the route will connect directly between the southern road junction of Can Tho bridge and waterway junction through Cai Cui port with other commodity collective areas in the region (Tra Noc industrial zone, O Mon industrial zone, Thot Not industrial zone ...) to facilitate  goods exchange in the region.
Total estimated length is 30km. According to the transport planning, this is the main road for urban areas which is planned to be invested and constructed with the cross section of 80m. In the first phase, this is invested in the grade-III delta road, Bembankment/surface (Bn/m) = 11/12m, the designed speed is 80km/h, the designed load is for vehicles with axle load of 12T, and the specification follows TCVN 4054-2005.standard for road design.
- On the whole road, there are 29 bridge sections that will be newly constructed.

Investment project on construction of Vam Xang bridge and connecting road from Vam Xang bridge to National Highway 61C

Total length of the route is about 3 km, the route starts at National Road 61C (chainage point Km5 + 800) connecting to Provincial Road 923 (chainage point Km7 + 800), the new construction is entirely in Nhon Nghia commune, Phong Dien district, which mainly passes by the paddy rice fields. The two new bridges across Hoa Hao canal, Xa No Can canal and one large Vam Xang bridge about 200m acrossing Can Tho river to connect Nhon Nghia commune, Phong Dien district with Phong Dien Cental through Provincial road 923 at chainage point Km7 + 800, of which:
+ Building new Vam Sang bridge, ensuring clearance level III, scale of 14m;
+ Building 02 small bridges: Hoa Hao, Xa No Can canal.
+ To invest in the connecting road from Nguyen Van Cu road extending to National Highway 61C, which meets the requirement of delta road class III, scale of 12m.
+ In addition, there are two parallel road sections of Vam Sang bridge to connect conveniently with related traffic routes.
