Can Tho city boosts cooperation with Mozambique 

On June 22nd, Secretary of the Can Tho municipal Party Committee Le Quang Manh and other city leaders hosted a reception for visiting President of the Mozambican Assembly Esperanca Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias  and her delegation.

Ms. Esperanca Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias visited a factory in Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city.​

During the meeting, Mr. Manh expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation, briefly informed guests on socio-economic situation and the growth potential of agriculture sector and other fields of Can Tho city. He also emphasized that Vietnam and Mozambique had long-standing traditional friendship and the visit was an important highlight in further promoting the bilateral relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. Secretary of the Can Tho municipal Party Committee strongly believed that the potential of cooperation between Mozambique and the Mekong Delta provinces in general, and Can Tho in particular, would contribute not only to the good relationship between the two countries, but also continue to grow in the coming time.

For her part, Ms. Bias thanked the city leaders for hosting a warm reception. She also thanked Vietnam for electing Mozambique to the post as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and hoped Vietnam to share its working experience at the UNSC, while actively supporting each other at multilateral forums. President of the Mozambican Assembly believed that the visit would create an opportunity to further promote the good cooperative relationship between the two countries in general and with Can Tho City in particular.
